Press Release: CGTN Launches its Global Partners Program and International Talent Program
Aug 21, 2018
At the forefront of innovation and cooperation in the contemporary world, China Global Television Network (CGTN) announces the launch of the Global Partners Program and the International Talent Program to tackle the challenges facing the media industry today. The two programs aim to invite media organizations and related companies to forge a series of cooperative partnerships and recruit media professionals to enhance the capacity of the CGTN talent pool on a global scale.
Through the Global Partners Program, CGTN seeks to establish multi-level cooperation in a wide range of fields and channels with news agencies, new media organizations, communications service providers, media device manufacturers, hotel chains, international broadcasting unions, think tanks, and research institutions. The program works to promote exchanges and mutual learning among different cultures. In addition, CGTN hopes to cooperate with outstanding content producers who share our multicultural values and global vision. Together, we will produce high-quality products, sharable on various CGTN platforms, that reflect humanistic concerns and common aspirations of mankind, and promote coexistence and the development of different civilizations. This includes commissioned productions, joint productions, co-investment, copyright purchases, and the acquisition of creative ideas.
Through the International Talent Program, CGTN invites influential English-speaking news anchors with rich experience and high professional standards to join the CGTN English Channel, and also seeks news anchors and presenters who speak Spanish, French, Arabic, or Russian. In addition, we welcome reporters and editors to showcase their wide range of talents at CGTN as well. If you are a media professional with global vision and a desire to work in a multi-cultural environment, CGTN will provide a refreshing and challenging position and an optimal platform to realize your media aspirations, and an opportunity to grow with a new form of media convergence organization with the most growth potential in the world.
Today, we live in a changing world of integration and innovation, but also a world full of challenges and an era calling for cooperation in resolving global issues. Even amid a golden age of technological innovation and information dissemination, media still faces the challenges of an imbalanced information flow, enlarged digital divide, lack of dialogue among civilizations as well as misunderstandings between nations. With these circumstances in mind, CGTN decided to launch its Global Partners Program and International Talent Program.
CGTN is a new type of media convergence organization committed to global communication. Headquartered in Beijing, it operates 6 TV channels, 3 production centers abroad, one new media group, and one video news agency. CGTN is a practitioner of objective and balanced reporting, a facilitator of international dialogue, an advocate of cultural diversity, a pursuer of quality and professional content, as well as an innovator in media convergence and the communications industry. Following the philosophy of “One world, many voices,” and the motto of “See the difference,” we are dedicated to presenting an authentic, multi-faceted, and complete picture of China and the world.
CGTN sincerely hopes to cooperate with global media organizations, related companies, and media professionals in resource sharing, exploration, innovation, exchanges of ideas and joint brand construction. Standing at the historical intersection of major changes, adjustments, and transitions, we are compelled now more than ever to work together to face global challenges to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
